The countdown is on. Only five more nights till Christmas Eve! I sit by the fireplace, listening to the sizzle, snap and pop of the woodfire. All is quiet down in the winery except for the simmering sizzle of malolactic fermentation inside the barrels. The woods are grey and a chirping assortment of birds gathers at the feeders. The sheep are no longer in the vineyard, having returned to their winter pasture down in the lower forty. Without the sheep in the vineyard it looks so bare, empty and void of life. That will all change soon enough.
But for now, the focus is on family and the spirit that is Christmas... of sharing and giving thanks. Our wish for all of you is a holiday season filled with good health, safe travels, joy, laughter, love, and of course, good wine to share with family and friends as you celebrate the joys of the holiday season.
